BUTTERFLY
This record is about the metamorphic process of life with Jesus. It whispers God's presence and unconditional love in the midst of growth, change, loss, and becoming. These songs have been my battle cry in dark seasons, and my song of praise when the garden is blooming.

Produced by Tyler Somers, Butterfly's soundscape seeks to communicate the joy and playfulness of childhood in light of our adoption as children of God. It incorporates unconventional textural elements on top of familiar folk/pop progressions (with a twist) to paint a landscape bursting with new life.

Recorded at One Eyed Cat Studios in Nashville, TN, with ambient sounds taken from gardens in East Africa, Minnesota, and Tenessee.
Victory Songs
God has done a lot in my life. He taught me that my perfection is ashes, but I’m broken and beautifully loved. He taught me that I can talk to Him and sit with Him and lean on Him and laugh with Him in the midst of my grief. He taught me that His voice is gentle, and His eyes are soft. He taught me how to talk to Fear about my REAL future (the one with the fields full of lilies and the joy that won’t be taken away?) how to sing when there aren’t any words left, how to remember what He’s done. How to look Him in the eye in the midst of my shame and see not disgust and rejection but absolute and total and constant and safe love.
These songs are my testimonies to Jesus’s work and Jesus’s voice. I hope they can become yours too.
